The Houston Hitmen traveled to Plano to take on the Penguins. Going into the match, the teams were tied for second in the league rankings at 5 and 2. Unfortunately, the Hitmen were able to pull ahead in the match. As it turns out, the game was short on penalties by both sides, with only five penalties in the whole game.
The first period was scoreless but the Hitmen came out quickly in the second and scored at 1:29 in the period. Seven minutes later, the Penguins got on the board tying up the game. Then at 11:40 in the period, the Penguins scored again going on top. The third period found the Houston team rallying back and scoring three goals in just one and a half minutes. Shortly after, the Penguins scored two additional goals thirty seconds apart from each other tying up the game. The Hitmen were able to slide two more goals in the third, going ahead for the win at 6-4. Shots on goal were evenly matched with DJHA at 29 and Hitmen at 25.
