Dallas Junior Hockey Association would like to congratulate and recognize former Dallas Penguins Player Colton Hargrove on his NCAA hockey success that now includes a National Hockey League Draft selection.
Hargrove, a forward for the Western Michigan Broncos, played for DJHA as a mite and again at the bantam and U16 level. In March he signed an entry level contract with the Boston Bruins, joining the organization that drafted him in the seventh round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
A Rockwall native, Hargrove left the Metroplex to play in the NAHL and later in the USHL before arriving at Western Michigan. Before signing his contract this year, Hargrove was coming off his best collegiate season in 2014-15. He totaled 28 points on 14 goals and 14 assists, all career-highs. He also finished with a team-best +12 plus/minus. Hargrove finishes his career with 105 games played, 34 goals, 28 assists and 62 points.
