Dallas Junior Hockey Association would like to congratulate former Dallas Penguins player Jacob Nehama on his commitment to play college hockey at Colorado College.

Nehama, an Allen native, announced his decision in April following an outstanding season in the USHL. He led all USHL goaltenders in victories this past season with a 29-13-4 record playing for the Dubuque Fighting Saints.

Nehama played seven years with DJHA from Mite Major to Bantam for Coach Bob Johnson. With the Penguins, Nehama was in net for two national championship appearances. Jacob then played for Dallas Stars Elite U15 (Coach Trevor Hanas), U16 (Coach Eric Silverman) and U18 (Coach Addie Robbins).  Jacob's senior year of high school was spent playing in the NAHL (Brahmas) for Coach Wildfong September, 2013 through November, 2013.  He then joined USHL's Lincoln Stars in November 2013, before joining the Dubuque Fighting Saints for the 2014-2015 USHL season.

Jacob set a Dubuque club record last season for the most wins by a Fighting Saints goaltender in a season, and finished second in the USHL League this past season with a 2.31 GAA.

At Colorado College, Nehama will play with fellow North Texas native Duggie Lagrone, a sophomore from Plano.
