The Dallas Penguins Squirt A team won the championship game at the Grapevine Presidents Day Tournament by defeating the Houston Wild Squirt AA team 4-2.  The win culminated a strong weekend of hockey that saw the Penguins go 2-1-0 in pool play by winning games against the Dallas Stars 00/01 AAA (4-2) and Houston Wild AA (5-0) before dropping a close game against the Grapevine Wolves A (3-4).

The Penguins scored 16 goals (4.0 GFA) while giving up 8 goals (2.0 GAA) during the tournament by outshooting their opponents by more than 2:1 with 101 shots (25/game) to 46 (11/game).   Strong play and solid teamwork by everyone contributed to the Penguins outstanding effort.  Well done team!
