The Penguins Midget Minor AA team played hard all weekend even after dropping their first game to the Ice Jets 5-2, a game that was much closer than the score as with 6 minutes left the Penguins had closed to 4-2 and were on a 5-3 advantage. However after failing to score gave up a late goal to lose.

The team then came back to beat a fiesty Duncanville Dragon team 2-1 Saturday afternoon.

Sunday morning was perhaps the best game of the season for the penguins as they played the Scots. In the two regular season games vs. the Scots this year the boys had led 3-1 in the second and lost 6-3 and led 5-3 late in the second and lost 9-5, with both games leaving a sour taste in everyone's mouth. Sunday would be different as the game went back and forth from the beginning as the Scots opened up to a 2-1 lead in the first, the penguins came back to tie 4-4 after 2. Late in the third with the score 5-5 the Scots intercepted a pass and went in for a easy goal with about 2 min. remaining to lead 6-5, but the Penguins responded almost immediately with a goal to force OT. The OT went scoreless forcing a shoot out. JP Billingsley was perfect stopping all three shots he faced and Joel Plattner scored on the Penguins 3rd attempt for the win! A Win that made the season for this team.

In the last game the Penguins faced the Stars and fell behind 2-0 before rallying for 4 3rd period goals and finishing on a high note with a 3 game winning streak!
