Coach “Koz” to Lead DJHA’s Goalie Training Program for 2018-2019 Season

The Dallas Penguins are very proud to announce the addition of Coach Konstantin Kovalenko to our coaching staff.  Coach “Koz” will be leading DJHA’s goalie training program for the 2018-2019 season. He will be working regularly with all 9 Penguins teams with some extra emphasis given to the 14U, 12U and 10U goalies.  This will include private goalie training with all DJHA goalies, goalie camps, and feedback on game performance.

Coach Konstantin grew up playing in Belgorod, Russia before going to play for their farm team, HC Belgorod, and was instrumental in their pro team’s success. After graduating high school, he moved to the U.S. to pursue his dream of one day playing in the States. Once in Dallas, he joined the Texas Brahmas. It was also during that time that he earned a scholarship to play at Utica College.

Coach Konstantin has worked with local high school teams as well as the Jr. Americans, Lone Star Wolves, Dallas Stars Elite and the Dallas Penguins goalies and is very proud to be one of Dallas’ premier goalie coaches, coaching in his 7th season. He currently lives in North Dallas and is extremely excited about the upcoming season and to be joining the Dallas Penguins coaching staff.
